A new chair has been chosen to lead the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council’s Board of Directors following an election that took place last week.

Cass County prosecutor Lisa Swaim was elected to serve a one-year term as council chair during IPAC’s annual Summer Conference. Swaim, who has served as Cass County prosecutor since 2015, succeed St. Joseph County Prosecutor Kenneth Cotter. She served as IPAC’s vice chairwoman during 2018-19.

Other officers elected for 2019 are Anthony Quinn, Dubois County prosecutor, vice chairman; and James “Brad” Landwerlen, Shelby County prosecutor, secretary.

“I am grateful for the honor and the opportunity to serve as chair of the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council for 2019-2020,” Swaim said in a statement. “As we face the road ahead, I will continue the work of IPAC in support of our mission as prosecutors to seek justice through the investigation and prosecution of crimes with integrity and fairness.”

In addition to Cotter, other prosecutors elected to two-year terms on the IPAC board include Andrew Bryson (Union County), Daniel Hampton (Kosciusko County), Jeremy Mull (Clark County), Chris Owens (Scott County), Anthony Quinn (Dubois County), Wesley Schemenaur (Jay County) and Steven Sonnega (Morgan County).
