A northeastern Indiana lawyer has been named the newest Noble County Superior Court judge. The newly appointed jurist will fill a vacancy left by retiring Judge Robert Kirsch.

Albion attorney Steven T. Clouse was selected to sit on the Noble Superior Court bench and succeed Kirsch, Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb announced Thursday. Clouse currently practices at Steven T. Clouse, Attorney at Law, LLC.

Kirsch is set to retire from the Noble Superior Court on Sunday. Clouse will serve out the remainder of the term through 2024.

Clouse earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his law degree from the University of Toledo. He will be sworn in as the judge at a date to be determined, according to the announcement.

Clouse was admitted to the Indiana bar in 1994 and previously served four terms as Noble County prosecutor through 2014. He has also been involved in establishing a drug court and a veteran’s court in Noble County.
