Federal prosecutors say investigators found more than 600 images of child sex abuse material on the cell phone and laptop of Keynan Santos, after they were alerted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children following the Google notification. The center notified the Hamilton County Metro Internet Crimes Against Children task force.
The 44-year-old Santos plead guilty to possession of child sex abuse material, committing a felony offense while required to register as a sex offender as well as sexual exploitation of a child. He was sentenced last week, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana.
Federal prosecutors said that in the last two months of 2024, Santos sexually abused and exploited a 12-year-old child in his care. Santos also recorded the sexual abuse and persuaded the child to create and send him sexually explicit images.
In 2015, Santos was sentenced to eight years in prison for two felony counts of child molesting and was required to register as a sex offender for life.
For his most recent conviction, the court ordered him to also pay the victim $10,000 for restitution.
