Qualified applicants interested in serving as city court judge in Marion have until Nov. 25 to make their interest known.

Gov. Eric Holcomb’s office is accepting applications for the pending court vacancy. The governor will make a direct appointment to the court.

Former Marion City Court Judge Jason McVicker was elected judge of Grant Superior Court 3 in the Nov. 3 election. McVicker will succeed Grant Superior 3 Judge Warren Haas, who is retiring at the end of the year. McVicker was unopposed in this month’s general election after winning the Republican Party nomination in the primary earlier this year.
