Lawyers interested in presiding over the Marion City Court must submit their applications by next Wednesday.

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb is accepting applications for the municipal judgeship through 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The office of Marion City Court judge was on the ballot last November, when Republican Michael T. Hotz, the incumbent, ran unopposed.

Indiana Lawyer was unable to immediately confirm why Holcomb is accepting applications for the municipal court.

Qualified candidates should submit their applications preferably via email to [email protected], or by hard copy to Governor’s Office, Attn: Joseph R. Heerens, State House Room 206, Indianapolis, 46204.
