“We are fortunate enough to have such talented and dedicated individuals willing to serve on the bench,” Braun said in a news release. “Each of these appointees bring strong legal experience, sound judgement, and a commitment to uphold the law. I am confident they will serve their communities and our state well.”

In Allen County, Brent Ecenbarger has been appointed to the Allen Superior Court 7. Ecenbarger received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in 2006 and his J.D. from Valparaiso University in 2010.

Prior to his latest appointment, Ecenbarger served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Noble and Allen counties and most recently reserved as an assistant U.S. attorney and Allen County Circuit Court magistrate judge. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and the Allen County Bar Association.

“I am humbled and honored to have been selected as Martinsville City Court Judge,” Terrell told The Indiana Lawyer in an emailed statement. “Thank you to Governor Braun and the State of Indiana for trusting me to represent this beautiful city that has blessed my family for many years, and thank you to the countless mentors who supported me to get here. It is a great privilege to walk in the footsteps of Hon. Mark Peden, and it is my desire that the City Court will continue to reflect the positivity and professionalism that he upheld his entire tenure.”
