She’s charged in the June death of 60-year-old John Johnson, who died after being struck by a car as his wife pushed his wheelchair across an Evansville road.
The Evansville Courier & Press reported that police matched a broken bumper section to a missing section of bumper on Zell’s car.
A judge entered a not guilty plea on Zell’s behalf during a Monday hearing.
She’s being held on $100,000 bond. Online court records didn’t list an attorney who could speak on Zell’s behalf.
