Indianapolis-based Charitable Allies unveiled a new website designed to expand charitable organizations’ access to affordable legal services and educational resources for nonprofit professionals.

Nonprofits can use Charitable Allies’ interactive tool on the new website — charitableallies.org — to be matched with a legal team. The tool allows attorneys to provide assistance based on their programs, size, services requested and other factors.

In its announcement, the nonprofit legal aid law firm said its clientele tripled in size between 2019 and 2022 because of increased demand for low-cost services during the pandemic.

Charitable Allies was founded in 2013 and currently serves about 1,300 charities around the country, the announcement said.

The website update also includes increased access to a database of free resources for nonprofit professionals.

Topics include best practices for board members, compliance education, tips for startups and other material written by the attorneys.

“The quicker we are able to adapt to new technologies, the better we can respond to the changing needs of nonprofits throughout their lifespans,” CEO and Managing Attorney Zac Kester said in a statement. “As a small firm, we rely on this technology to provide nonprofits with high-quality, sophisticated legal counsel.”
