Attorney Cassidy Laux joins the firm after serving in the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office, where he both founded and led the office’s Major Crimes Unit as division chief.
During his time with the office, Laux completed 51 jury trials.
“Gutwein Law offers a rare combination of full-service capabilities and a close-knit, team-oriented environment,” Laux said in a news release. “I’m excited to join a firm that is deeply committed to its clients and provides the resources and support needed to deliver exceptional results.”
In his new role, Laux will represent businesses and individuals in commercial disputes and other complex litigation cases.
“Cassidy brings a level of trial experience that is increasingly rare in today’s legal market,” said Spencer Tanner, Practice Area Leader of Gutwein Law’s litigation group, in a news release. “Having tried 51 jury cases and led a major crimes unit, he understands how to evaluate risk, develop winning strategies, and advocate effectively under pressure. Those skills translate directly to the complex business disputes our clients face, and we’re thrilled to have him join our team.”
Prior to leading the Major Crimes Unit, Laux was division chief of the prosecutor’s office’s Major Felony Courts. He also served as a deputy prosecuting attorney.
Laux earned his bachelor’s degree at Purdue University and his J.D. at the University of Notre Dame Law School.
