“Fairgrounds for Celebration” will bring together justices, judges and attorneys from around the state to celebrate the country’s history and honor the democratic values that unite the legal community, according to the Indiana State Bar Association, which is hosting the event in collaboration the Indiana Bar Foundation, the state Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals.
Check-in begins at 3:30 p.m. and will be followed by a 4 p.m. discussion featuring former U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly, former Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta Rush. The discussion will be moderated by Indiana Court of Appeals Judge Nancy Vaidik.
The event will be held in the Purdue Extension Building. Attendees should dress comfortably for an evening at the fairgrounds, but organizers ask that guests refrain from wearing cutoffs and gym shorts. Nice shorts are acceptable.
Following the presentation, guests will gather at a “Red, White & Cheers” reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m. before heading to the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage for the Happy Together Tour concert featuring acts performing songs from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s. 
Appetizers, beverages and one fair ticket, which includes admission to the concert, are included with the registration.
The registration deadline is Aug. 16. Tickets are $60 each for members of the state bar association, $50 for judges and $85 for non-members. Parking at the fairgrounds is $10 per vehicle and is not included in the event ticket.
