An Indianapolis attorney has been indefinitely suspended from the practice of law for failing to cooperate with the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission concerning a grievance filed against him.

The suspension filed against attorney John Hurley in July was moved to an indefinite suspension on Dec. 4 after the court found that more than 90 days had passed since Hurley was initially suspended for failing to cooperate with the disciplinary process.

Hurley did not immediately respond to a request for comment. More details about the initial grievance filed against him were not publicly available.

His indefinite suspension is effective immediately.

To be readmitted into the practice of law, Hurley must cure the causes of all suspensions and successfully petition the supreme court to reinstate him.

The case is In the Matter of: John R. Hurley, 25S-DI-00091.
