The interview schedule for 15 applicants seeking a Lake Superior judgeship was announced Wednesday by the Lake County Judicial Nominating Commission.

The applicants seeking to succeed retired Lake Superior Judge John Pera in Civil Division 6 will be interviewed in public sessions by the commission on Wednesday, Aug. 14 in the Lake County Government Center in Crown Point. The schedule is as follows:

8:40 a.m.: Alexander Lopez

9 a.m.: Lake Circuit Magistrate Judge Lisa A. Berdine

9:20 a.m.: Alice Ann Kuzemka

9:40 a.m.: Rehana R. Adat-Lopez

10 a.m.: Break

10:15 a.m.: Daniel W. Burke Jr.

10:35 a.m.: Kristen D. Hill

10:55 a.m.: Carly A. Brandenburg

11:15 a.m.: Christopher Cooper

11:35 a.m.: Lunch

12:25 p.m.: Lake Superior Magistrate Judge Michael N. Pagano

12:45 p.m.: Stacy J. Vasilak

1:05 p.m.: Merrillville Town Court Judge Gina L. Jones

1:25 p.m.: Bessie M. Davis

1:45 p.m.: Break

2 p.m.: Andrew L. Kraemer

2:20 p.m.: Frank R.P. Martinez III

2:40 p.m.: Jill S. Swope

3 p.m.: Executive session for deliberations

The commission will select three nominees, whose names will be submitted to Gov. Eric Holcomb for his appointment.

The commission is also accepting public comment on the applicants. Comments must be submitted electronically to [email protected] by 4 p.m. CDT on Monday, Aug. 5. Submissions must include the sender’s name, email address and phone number.
