The Indiana Supreme Court has appointed a new chair of the Youth Justice Oversight Committee.

Judge Dana Kenworthy

According to a Tuesday order, Court of Appeals of Indiana Judge Dana Kenworthy will replace now-retired Justice Steven David as head of the committee.

“The Court thanks former Justice Steven H. David for his leadership in chairing the Youth Justice Oversight Committee and thanks Judge Vicki Carmichael and Eric Miller for their prior service on the Youth Justice Oversight Committee,” the order states. Carmichael is judge of Clark Circuit Court 4 while Miller is the new director of the Indiana Department of Child Services.

Additionally, the following individuals were appointed to serve as members of the committee pursuant to the order:

  • Dr. Matthew Aalsma, Indiana University
  • Stephen Balko, Indiana Department of Education
  • Sirrilla Blackmon, Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Mental Health and Addiction
  • Marion Superior Judge Marshelle Dawkins Broadwell
  • Shannon Chambers, Johnson County Probation and Probation Officers Advisory Board
  • Terrie Decker, Indiana Department of Correction
  • Wayne Superior Judge Darrin Dolehanty
  • Tracy Fitz, Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council
  • Allen Superior Magistrate Judge Caroline Foley
  • Tippecanoe Superior Judge Faith A. Graham
  • Mary Kay Hudson, Indiana Office of Court Services
  • Ripley Circuit Judge Ryan King
  • Emily Krauser, director of community programs, Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority
