Lake Superior Judge Clarence Murray will temporarily step down from his seat on the bench after informing the court that he would be unable to perform the duties of his office due to health reasons.

Serving in his place as judge pro tempore will be Senior Judge Michael Pagano, the court announced in a Friday order. Pagano’s term in the Lake Superior Court, Criminal Division 2, will begin effective March 13. He shall remain as judge pro tem until further order of the court.

The order will be sufficient authority for Pagano to continue the employment of court personnel and otherwise discharge the duties of the judge. Pagano will be compensated at the same rate as the regular judge commencing from the effective date of his appointment.
