The Indiana Court of Appeals travels to LaPorte High School Tuesday to hear arguments in an insurance case.

Richard Sigo Jr. sued his insurer, Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance Co., to recover for the fire loss of his home. He argued that the trial court erred in granting the insurer’s motion to exclude from the civil jury trial – which has not yet taken place – any mention or evidence of Sigo’s prior criminal trial in which a jury acquitted him of arson of his home.

Chief Judge Margret Robb and Judges Melissa May and Cale Bradford will hear the arguments in Richard Sigo Jr. v. Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance Co., No. 25A03-1008-PL-406, at 12:30 p.m. CST.
