The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana is seeking comment as to whether Magistrate Judge William G. Hussmann Jr. should be recommended for reappointment. The current term of Magistrate Hussmann, who works in the Evansville Division, expires April 3, 2012.

He was appointed in 1988 and reappointed to subsequent eight-year terms in 1996 and 2004.

The District Court is establishing a panel of citizens to decide whether to reappoint Magistrate Hussmann to a new eight-year term. Comments should be sent to Clerk Laura A. Briggs, Attn: Reappointment Panel, United States District Court, 46 E. Ohio St., Room 105, Indianapolis IN 46204. Comments may also be submitted to [email protected]. Comments are due July 22.
