The third murder trial of former Indiana State Trooper David Camm will be held in Boone County.

Camm’s two previous convictions for the September 2000 murder of his wife and two children at their Georgetown home were overturned on appeal. The third trial is scheduled for Aug. 5, 2013. The jury will be selected from Boone County.

The first trial in 2002 was held in Floyd County but the jury was from Johnson County. After that conviction was overturned in 2004, Camm was retried in Warrick County in 2006. The second guilty verdict was overturned in 2009.

In September, the Indiana Supreme Court denied Camm’s request to be released from jail while awaiting his next trial.
