Indiana State Police have arrested the former office and financial manager of Terre Haute International Airport on preliminary charges of theft, forgery and fraud.

Police said 41-year-old Rose M. Overpeck was being held on $100,000 cash bond Thursday in the Vigo County Jail in Terre Haute.

Police say Overpeck allegedly wrote unauthorized checks on accounts from the airport, used its credit cards, cashed checks to the airport, and took petty cash. The total amount taken for her personal use was allegedly about $41,000.

Overpeck was arrested at her Terre Haute home Thursday afternoon following a seven-month investigation by state police and the State Board of Accounts.

An airport official says Overpeck worked there nearly two years.

The Associated Press left a phone message seeking comment from Overpeck's attorney.
