Indiana Tax Court records will migrate to the Odyssey case management system effective Dec.1, the first state appeals court to transfer records to the system. Records will be available at no charge online at mycase.in.gov

Tax Court documents filed Wednesday will not be updated on the appellate courts’ docket and will not be updated in the public docket until the week of Dec. 1, according to an announcement from the Supreme Court.

In May 2014, the Supreme Court announced that the three appellate courts would move to Odyssey. Records are currently maintained on a 28 year-old AS/400 system.

The Indiana Court of Appeals and Supreme Court are not immediately impacted by the move of Tax Court records into Odyssey. COA and Supreme Court case records will remain available on the appellate docket. Those courts’ dockets are expected to be transferred to Odyssey in the first quarter of 2015.

More than 3,000 Tax Court cases will be moved into Odyssey on Wednesday, and access to those records is expected to be available on Friday.

Tax Court joins about 200 Indiana trial courts in 51 counties using Odyssey.
