The Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission brings charges against attorneys who have violated the state’s rules for admission to the bar and Rules of Professional Conduct. The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications brings charges against judges, judicial officers, or judicial candidates for misconduct. Details of attorneys’ and judges’ actions for which they are being disciplined by the Supreme Court will be included unless they are not a matter of public record under the court’s rules.

Resignation
Keith J. Hays, of Marion County, resigned from the bar effective April 9. A verified complaint for disciplinary action was filed against him in August 2014, and his resignation includes an acknowledgement that the material facts alleged are true and he could not successfully defend himself if prosecuted. Any pending disciplinary matters are dismissed as moot.

Conditional Reinstatement
Douglas S. Followell, of Sullivan County, was conditionally reinstated to the practice of law by the Supreme Court on April 13. He will be on probation for one year, during which he shall continue receiving treatment and attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, with monitoring by the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program. After the probation period expires, Followell may petition for release from probation as long as he fully complied with the terms of probation. Justice Dickson voted to deny reinstatement.•
