The Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission brings charges against attorneys who have violated the state’s rules for admission to the bar and Rules of Professional Conduct. The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications brings charges against judges, judicial officers, or judicial candidates for misconduct. Details of attorneys’ and judges’ actions for which they are being disciplined by the Supreme Court will be included unless they are not a matter of public record under the court’s rules.

Suspension
Gene D. Emmons, of Warrick County, has been suspended for noncooperation with the Disciplinary Commission in the investigation of a grievance, per a Sept. 18 order. He must also pay $512.96 for the costs of prosecuting this proceeding.

David Saks, of Lake County, has been suspended for noncooperation with the Disciplinary Commission in the investigation of a grievance, per a Sept. 18 order. He must also pay $538.88 for the costs of prosecuting this proceeding.

Contempt
Diane R. Hurtt, of Tippecanoe County, has been found in contempt for practicing law while she was actively suspended and for failing to pay a $500 fine previously imposed for a separate finding of contempt, per a Sept. 24 order. The justices ordered Hurtt to pay a total of $1,500 within 10 days of service of this order. If she fails to do so, she will be imprisoned for 10 days in the Department of Correction. Her current suspension without automatic reinstatement also was increased from 90 days to one year, effective beginning June 25, 2015. Chief Justice Rush did not participate.•
