A 26-year-old Indiana man is awaiting sentencing in the death of his infant son after a plea agreement was reached in the case.

Steven Allen Filley of Crawfordsville was facing child abuse-related charges after his 5-month-old son died of multiple blunt force traumas to the head. WLFI-TV reports terms of the agreement are expected to be revealed at his sentencing Oct. 10.

Authorities say the child died June 12 after being removed from life support at an Indianapolis hospital where he'd been for several days.

According to court documents, Filley told police he tripped and fell with the baby but doctors say the injuries didn't match. Police said Filley was frustrated with the child's crying and said he has a history of blacking out when he gets that frustrated.
