The Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission brings charges against attorneys who have violated the state’s rules for admission to the bar and Rules of Professional Conduct. The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications brings charges against judges, judicial officers, or judicial candidates for misconduct. Details of attorneys’ and judges’ actions for which they are being disciplined by the Supreme Court will be included unless they are not a matter of public record under the court’s rules.

Suspension
Marion County attorney Douglas L. Krasnoff was suspended for at least 180 days by the Indiana Supreme Court July 20 after the court found he practiced with a suspended license and modified fee agreements to work in his favor. His suspension begins Sept. 1 and is without automatic reinstatement. The costs of the proceeding are assessed against him.

Marion County attorney Brian J. Lutz was suspended July 28 per an emergency suspension. The Disciplinary Commission filed an amended petition for disability suspension July 26 seeking an immediate suspension pending the high court’s final determination into whether a disability exists warranting Lutz’s suspension. The Disciplinary Commission first petitioned for investigation into this matter in April.

Termination of Suspension
The Indiana Supreme Court terminated Bartholomew County attorney Jeffrey B. Cooper’s suspension for noncooperation in case 06S00-1703-DI-140 on July 24 after Cooper cooperated with the investigation into this case. Cooper remains suspended under case 06S00-1703-DI-139.•
