The Southern Indiana District Bankruptcy Court has adopted three new general orders that amend local rules, forms and fee schedules.

First, General Order 17-0001 makes various amendments to local rules, including new language in Rule B-4004-3 and -4 regarding the modification of deadlines for objections to discharge or to the dischargeability of a debt. The amendments also insert new language into Local Rule B-9010, which relates to appearances and the substitution and withdrawal of appearances.

The bankruptcy court also entered into General Order 17-0002, which adopts a new local Chapter 13 plan form. The new form must be used for all plans filed beginning Dec. 1, including amended plans.

Finally, the court’s General Order 17-0003 establishes an installment fee schedule to accommodate changes in Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 1006 and replaces the existing General Order 14-0003. The schedule lays out payments for Chapter 7, 11, 12 or 13 Bankruptcy at the time of filing, then one, two and three months after.

Each of the three general orders will take effect Dec. 1. They can be read in their entirety here.
