Indiana’s Northern District Bankruptcy Court is seeking public comment on a proposed addition to a local rule.

The proposed amendment would add one section to rule B-2002-2(a), which lists matters the court can consider without a hearing. The additional matter, known in the amendment as (a)(27), is “Motions for order declaring lien satisfied pursuant to FRBP Rule 5009(d).”

The proposed revised rule can be read here.

Comments on the proposed addition to the rule must be received by Jan. 3 and can be sent through to mail to Christopher M. DeToro, Clerk of the Court, United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Indiana, 401 S. Michigan St., South Bend, 46601. Comments can also be made by email at [email protected], or called in to 574-968-2100.
