Two court officials have been appointed by Gov. Eric Holcomb to fill judicial vacancies in Allen and Lawrence counties.

Magistrate Judge Andrea R. Trevino has been appointed to the Allen Superior Court, Family Relations Division. She will succeed Judge Daniel Heath, who retired in February.

John M. Plummer III, juvenile referee in the Lawrence Circuit Court, has been appointed to the Lawrence Superior Court. He will succeed Judge Michael Robbins, who retired in February.

Both Trevino and Plummer will be sworn in at a later date.

Trevino was in private practice before being appointed magistrate in 2013. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Joseph’s College and her law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.

Plummer was in private practice and served as a part-time public defender before being appointed as referee in 2014. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University and his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.
