The disciplinary case arose after the Indiana Attorney General’s Office received a consumer complaint in April 2025, filed by a patient who said she was sexually assaulted by Dr. Aaron King, the owner and operator of Axis Chiropractic LLC in Newburgh.
King’s license was suspended by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency last summer because of the investigation, which uncovered allegations that King engaged in sex with adult patients, sent a sexually explicit message to a 17-year-old patient and violated medical privacy standards.
Earlier this month, the Indiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners permanently revoked King’s license.
“Healthcare providers are entrusted with a sacred duty — one that, when violated through sexual assault and abuse, demands swift and permanent consequences,” Attorney General Todd Rokita said in a written statement. “Revoking this former chiropractor’s license ensures he can never exploit vulnerable patients again — safeguarding Hoosier women, upholding accountability, and reaffirming that Indiana has zero tolerance for predators who betray the trust of those seeking care.”
Brandon Danks, an Evansville-based attorney representing King, did not immediately respond to The Indiana Lawyer’s request for comment.
According to the attorney general’s office’s October 2025 administrative complaint, King also allegedly contacted two 17-year-old girls on social media, sending one an unsolicited picture of his genitals. He is not alleged to have engaged in sexual intercourse with either of them.
The complaint also claims that King continued to represent himself as a chiropractor in the state, even while he was suspended, and that his Newburgh office uses security cameras that record patients’ sessions without their consent, a HIPAA violation.
No criminal charges have been filed against King.
He is involved in a civil suit against a Vanderburgh County woman who allegedly defaced his personal vehicle. That case is pending in Vanderburgh Superior Court 7; the case number is 82D07-2503-CT-001375.
