Deputies with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Derek S. Voges on five counts of child exploitation, a level four felony, and seven counts of possession of child pornography, a level five felony.
Back in January, the force began an investigation into the crimes after receiving a cyber tip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip indicated that a specific account was possibly used to possess child pornography, according to police.
Investigators executed a search warrant on a residence in Tell City in April, which eventually led to Voges’s arrest. His initial hearing is scheduled for this afternoon.
