An Indianapolis man was sentenced to six years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty in Hamilton County to fatally shooting a police dog that was pursuing him.
The Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Center for Victim and Human Rights announced Tuesday that the ICADV’s Protective Order Pro Bono Project is being taken over by the CVHR.
The Protective Order Pro Bono Project, which provides pro bono legal assistance to indigent victims of domestic violence in Marion County to obtain and enforce protection orders, is starting a pro se clinic this month.
The Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis' Women's Caucus is hosting its annual auction Feb. 12 to raise funds for the Protective Order Pro Bono Project. Proceeds from the auction will go to the project, which provides free legal advice for low-income victims of domestic abuse.
