The COVID-19 public health crisis has caused many people to reconsider their estate planning in light of scenarios that may have previously been unthinkable.

As a service to IndyBar members, the Indianapolis Bar Foundation Legacy Society and the IndyBar Estate Planning & Administration Section have teamed up to offer a free review of existing estate planning documents.

The free meeting would involve a review of any existing estate planning, discussion of the client’s goals and concerns, and a determination as to whether any further action is needed to address the client’s needs. While the initial meeting would be complimentary, any work to be done would be determined between the client and attorney based on the attorney’s normal rates. Volunteer attorneys are responsible for running conflict checks when accepting a review appointment.

IndyBar members can request this free service by completing the form at indybar.org/estatereview. Upon completion of the form, a list of attorneys participating in this service will be provided. The member requesting the service should then make contact with the attorney of his/her choice to begin the review process.
