Magistrate Judge Mark J. Dinsmore of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana will be formally sworn-in Friday at the federal courthouse in Indianapolis.

Magistrate Judge Dinsmore filled the vacancy left by the elevation of Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson to an Article III judgeship in June 2010.

The ceremony begins at 2 p.m. in Courtroom 216 of the Birch Bayh Federal Building and United States Courthouse. Chief Judge Richard L. Young will preside. The ceremony is a public event, but seating is limited.
