According to a release posted on the ILS website by retiring Executive Director Norman Metzger, the organization’s board of directors tapped Laramore for the top job. Metzger indicated that he called Laramore Tuesday evening to welcome him to the ILS.
Laramore is scheduled to begin work Feb. 16, 2015.
Laramore comes to the position with experience in legal aid. He is the founder of the Indiana Appellate Pro Bono Project which helps low-income individuals find lawyers who will handle their civil case appeals pro bono.
At Faegre Baker Daniels, Laramore practices primarily in the state and federal appellate courts. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University and earned his law degree at Harvard Law School.
