Four Indianapolis men have been sentenced to a combined 42 years in prison after being found guilty of conspiring to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine across central Indiana, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana announced Tuesday.

The convictions follow an investigation into the four men and their efforts to buy and sell the drugs out of at least four apartment properties in Indianapolis.

“Fentanyl and methamphetamine trafficking endangers every community in central Indiana. These defendants operated a multi-location drug distribution network and stocked their apartments with illegal firearms and equipment to support it,” said Tom Wheeler, U.S. attorney for the Southern District, in written remarks. “These sentences reflect our commitment to protecting Hoosiers from the deadly combination of narcotics and gun violence.”

From September 2023 through early April 2024, the men cconspired to sell the drugs out of the apartments, which were rented by defendant Dontae Blount using false identities.

Blount, 32, was sentenced on May 15 to 16 years and eight months in federal prison and five years of supervised release after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances.

Defendant Adonis Gillespy Jr., 24, was sentenced in December to 10 years in federal prison and five years of supervised release after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Defendant Andre Anderson, 32, was sentenced in October to six years in federal prison and four and a half years of supervised release after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and possession of a machine gun.

Defendant Lionel Muse, 25, was sentenced in September to 10 years in federal prison and five years of supervised release after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances.
