Marion Superior Civil Division 2 Judge Tim Oakes has been elected the presiding judge of the Marion Superior Executive Committee, which oversees the operation and conduct of the court.

Oakes, a Marion Superior judge since 2009, will be joined on the committee with three associate presiding judges: Marion Superior Criminal Division 3 Judge Sheila Carlisle, Criminal Division 17 Judge Christina Klineman, and Civil Division 1 Judge Heather Welch.

The judges will serve terms through 2018. The executive committee members were elected at the Jan. 17 meeting of the General Term of Marion Superior Court judges.
