Sullivan to receive professionalism award for 7th Circuit

Former Indiana Supreme Court justice and current Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law professor Frank E. Sullivan Jr. will receive the prestigious 2017 American Inns of Court Professionalism Award for the 7th Circuit. Retired Circuit Judge John Tinder will present the honor at the 7th Circuit Judicial Conference in Indianapolis in May.

Sullivan has taught courses in business organizations, contracts, securities regulation, and secured transactions since 2012 after serving on the Indiana Supreme Court from 1993 to 2012. He served as chair of the court’s Judicial Technology and Automation Committee. Before taking the bench, Sullivan was as an adviser to Indiana Gov. Evan Bayh and served as Indiana State Budget Director, and in private practice at Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Indianapolis.
