The London-based accounting and financial services firm said Wednesday that it plans to occupy a 15,440-square-foot space along North College Avenue as part of the mixed-use development’s second phase, which is nearing completion.
“We are ecstatic about our move to the vibrant Bottleworks District and our people are excited about all the amenities it has to offer,” John Federico, managing partner for Ernst & Young’s Indianapolis office, said in written remarks.
Currently, the company occupies a portion of the fourth floor of 111 Monument Circle, which is part of the Salesforce Tower complex, but details of its current lease term have not been disclosed. The firm has maintained that address since the turn of the century.
The timeline for the firm’s was not disclosed. The new space, Suite 1125, is in the newly-built structure known as Building 9-12.
The Ernst & Young lease will raise occupancy for the office portions of Bottleworks to 100%, an official with Beloit, Wisconsin-based developer Hendricks Commercial Properties said.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ernst & Young LLP to the Bottleworks District,” said Scott Prudden, senior vice president of leasing for the Bottleworks District. “The addition of a global firm like EY US further solidifies the district’s position as a prime destination for forward-thinking businesses in Indianapolis.”
Last month, Ice Miller LLP announced it would move its headquarters to the district, occupying a new 85,000-square-foot, 11-story build-to-suit office building that will be completed in 2028.
Ernst & Young is the second-largest accounting firm in the Indianapolis area, with 133 full-time certified public accountants, according to 2023 research.
