Judge Martha Blood Wentworth

Indiana Tax Court Judge Martha Blood Wentworth will be giving a keynote address at the State and Local Tax Symposium on June 16.

Wentworth will be joining Oregon Tax Court Judge Robert Manicke as the keynote speakers at the symposium, which will be held at Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law.

Featured presenters at the symposium include Hayes Holderness with University of Richmond School of Law, Michelle Layser with University of San Diego School of Law, Fancine Lipman with UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law, Erin Scharff with Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Darien Shanske with UC Davis School of Law, Kirk Stark with UCLA School of Law and Adam Thimmesch with University of Nebraska College of Law.

There will be 30-minute panel discussions concerning each presenter’s articles for publication in “The Tax Lawyer.”

Each author will be joined by one or two other tax professionals from private practice, state government and academia.

The presentations will be followed by a luncheon and keynote addresses.

After, attendees will break into smaller sections for a discussion regarding the instruction of SALT in law school J.D. and L.L.M. curricula, with a goal of promoting SALT teaching, programming and career building at educational institutions.

The event is sponsored by “The Tax Lawyer” and the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law Tax Program.
