Two Indianapolis-based personal injury law firms have merged to establish a new team of attorneys serving clients in central Indiana.

On Wednesday, attorneys at Johnson Jensen LLP and Williams Law Group officially merged to establish Johnson Jensen Williams.

The team of eight attorneys will continue to focus on areas of the law including personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death.

Financial details of the merger were not disclosed.

“Our decision to merge was built on a foundation of mutual respect, a shared vision for the future, and a commitment to staying authentic in how we serve our clients,” Travis Jensen, co-founder of Johnson Jensen LLP, said in a press release. “By coming together, we can take on a broader range of matters more efficiently while keeping our focus exactly where it belongs—on the people who trust us to advocate for them.”

Johnson Jensen LLP was established in 2011 and brings four attorneys to the firm. Williams Law Group was established in 2015 and also brings four attorneys to the firm.

Firm leaders called the merger the “natural next step” since the two purchased and began working out of a historic building downtown shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to merging, the firms would co-counsel and try cases together and found it was a great fit, the attorneys said.

The firm’s leaders say they look forward to working together as firms aligned in core values and a people-first approach.

“This merger gives us greater ‘firepower’—more attorneys, expanded resources, and deeper expertise in complex litigation—allowing us to tackle a wider range of high-stakes matters while maintaining the personal, client-centered service our community expects,” partner Joseph Williams said in an email.
