The Indianapolis Bar Association is proud to recognize Abigail Wagers of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP as the 2025 IndyBar Paralegal of the Year! Wagers will be honored with the award at the IndyBar Paralegal Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, May 29 at IndyBarHQ.
Abigail Wagers (Abbi) began as a practice department group assistant and is now the paralegal for one of the firm’s largest practice groups, the Labor and Employment Group. She takes pride in her work product, always makes sure her attorneys have what they need, and considers the needs of clients first. In addition to serving as the paralegal for the Labor and Employment Group, she also provides administrative help to the Construction Law Group, as well as manages the calendars and deadlines for 10 other attorneys.
Her nominator said, “One of Abbi’s best attributes is her ability to actively anticipate case needs…She puts in the effort necessary to get the best results for our clients, provides great value to all the cases she is staffed on, and is strong under pressure.”
One of the group’s attorneys said, “I am amazed at how Abbi is able to juggle so many different things and remain so efficient.”
In addition to IndyBar, Abbi is a member of the Indiana Bar Association and the Indiana Paralegal Association. She has volunteered as a research intern for Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Delaware County, assisting case managers in preparing for hearings by reviewing legal and medical records, supervised visitation logs, and home visit records. She was also a victim advocate for the City of Muncie, where she helped victims with legal paperwork, including applications for protective orders, and supported victims throughout the trial process.
