Can you believe it’s February already? Here’s hoping you haven’t abandoned your New Year’s Rresolutions! Whether 2024 is the year you learn more, mentor, travel, socialize or just plain show off your skills, IndyBar has you covered as we make our way into spring. And the IndyBar Foundation is here to help you achieve that resolution you made to give back to your community!

The foundation just had its first event of the year: IndyBar’s Got Talent! This incredible show, presented by Hurst Limontes LLC, featured talented acts made up of Indy’s legal professionals. The night concluded with an amazing performance from “An Innocent Band” featuring the foundation’s very own president, Travis Jensen from Johnson Jensen LLP. It was such an incredible experience; w ho knew we had so many talented members of our legal community? Head to IndyBar’s social media pages for some photos from the event. And thank you to all our outstanding sponsors: Hurst Limontes LLC, Johnson Jensen LLP, Rebecca W. Geyer & Associates PC, Paganelli Law Group, Wilson Kehoe Winingham LLP, The Mediation Group and Tony Patterson.

If you missed attending IndyBar’s Got Talent, don’t fret … the foundation has another stellar event planned for April. Join us for a crowd favorite: Trivia Night. This spring trivia event will be hosted at from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, at Blind Owl Brewery and is sponsored by Hurst Limontes LLC. Gather your team or come by on your own and put all the miscellaneous knowledge you’ve got to the test. Registration is now open at www.indybar.org/trivia. This event almost always sells out, so head on over and secure your spot today!

We are very excited to announce that you can officially put “start of summer” on your calendars with the annual IndyBar Block Party! Kick off your race weekend with sunshine (fingers crossed), great company, snacks, drinks and entertainment at this low-key parking lot party. The festivities will take place on May 23 at IndyBar HQ. This event is for IndyBar members only (quick reminder to renew your membership for 2024 if you haven’t already at www.indybar.org/2024). Registration will open soon so keep your eyes peeled for more details.

And if you’re feeling like your trivia skills deserve to be on display not once, but twice this year, we have another trivia event in store for you! That’s right … trivia at our annual Bench Bar Conference is BACK for 2024! The conference runs from June 13 through June 15, and you can register for this wonderful professional conference online at www.indybar.org/events. This year’s conference is held year at French Lick Springs Resort & Casino and will feature some great educational content in addition to all of the fun experiences we’ve come to know and love.

On behalf of my colleagues who volunteer their time and talents alongside me and the fantastic staff at IndyBar, we hope to see you at some of these great events!•
