Get on board with the local legal community: nominations are being accepted now for positions on the board of directors for both the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indianapolis Bar Foundation! Nominations of colleagues as well as self-nominations are welcomed.

See below for details and instructions for nominations.

IndyBar Board of Directors

The nominations for IndyBar’s 2021 Board of Directors are now open, and it’s up to you to help determine the future of your local bar association! Several positions, noted below, will be available in 2021.

Interested? Complete the nomination form at indybar.org/board by September 18. Even if you aren’t selected for the board, every effort will be made to find another rewarding volunteer position for you within the IndyBar.

The following vacancies exist for the coming year and must be filled by an attorney member. Board service will begin on January 1, 2020.

• 1st Vice President (serves one-year term and will automatically assume the office of President Elect in 2022)

• Secretary (two-year term, 2021 and 2022)

• At-Large Member of Board of Directors (five positions, each two-year terms, 2021 and 2022)

The 2021 IndyBar Board of Directors will be led by Jimmie McMillian of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Hon. Alicia Gooden of Marion Superior Court will assume the role of President Elect.

Indianapolis Bar Foundation Board of Directors and Committees

The Indianapolis Bar Foundation (IBF), the charitable arm of the Indianapolis Bar Association, is a community-focused leader of the local legal profession. The foundation’s ongoing grants and programs are maintained solely through the generosity and energy of its directors, fellows and donors.

Service with the IBF is a fun, meaningful experience that connects you to your colleagues and your community. Applications are now being accepted for both positions on the board of directors as well as with foundation committees.

To express your interest or to nominate a colleague, complete the form at indybar.org/ibfnominations by September 30.

The IBF will be led by Adam Christensen of Weston Foods in 2021. Raegan Gibson, Paganelli Law Group, will assume the position of President Elect. •
