Indiana Court of Appeals
Tyson Daishan Lamonte King v. State of Indiana
20A-CR-6
Criminal. Reverses Tyson King’s conviction in Marshall Superior Court of Class A misdemeanor driving while suspended. Finds in deciding an issue of first impression that King’s driver’s license was not suspended when he was pulled over at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2018, because his suspension expired at 12:01 a.m. that same day.

In the Matter of the Supervised Estate of John L. Thompson, Sr.: Sandra Riggs v. Robert Laszynski, et al. (mem. dec.)
19A-ES-3015
Estate. Affirms the award of attorney fees to Sandra Riggs’ former counsel, Thomas Herr and the law firm Herr & Phillips, LLC, the award of compensation to the special personal representative of the estate, attorney Robert S. Laszynski, and the denial of her motion for a surcharge against Laszynski. Finds the trial court did not abuse its discretion when it awarded $21,343.00 in attorney fees to Herr & Phillips and $5,102.50 in fees for special personal representative services to Laszynski. Also finds that the trial court did not err in denying Riggs’ request for a surcharge against Laszynski.
