Indiana Court of Appeals

Timothy Malott v. Steven C. Snyder

24A-SC-2534

Small claim. Affirms LaPorte Superior Court Magistrate John Link judgment for Steven Snyder. Finds Timothy Malott lacked standing to complain about the injury to his sister. Appellee pro se.

Mylik J. Hill v. State of Indiana

24A-CR-849

Criminal. Affirms Marion Superior Court Judge Angela Davis’s advisory comments to Mylik Hill that he had waived a future ineffective assistance of counsel claim. Finds the trial court did not deprive Hill of counsel and did not commit structural error. Reverses Hill’s five resisting law enforcement convictions, ruling that they violates Indiana’s protections against double jeopardy. Remands with instructions for the trial court to vacate five of the resisting law enforcement convictions and their corresponding sentences. Attorneys for appellant: Talisha Griffin and Matthew Anglemeyer. Attorneys for Appellee: Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita and Supervising Deputy Attorney General George Sherman.
