Indiana Court of Appeals Judge Margret Robb has been appointed to a five-year term on the Indiana Supreme Court Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure, effective July 1. Robb succeeds COA Judge L. Mark Bailey, whose term on the committee will expire June 30.

Chief Justice Loretta Rush signed an order June 22 appointing Robb to the rules committee. On Tuesday, Rush signed an order reappointing three members to new five-year terms. Those reappointed are Anthony Patterson of Parr Richey Frandsen Patterson Kruse LLP in Lebanon, Crystal Rowe of Kightlinger & Gray LLP in New Albany and Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law professor Joel Schumm.

Terms of those appointed and reappointed to the committee this week run through June 30, 2025.

The 13-member committee is charged with recommending proposed rule amendments to simplify procedure and eliminate unjustified expense and delay. After posting the proposal for public comment, the committee submits a final draft along with associated comments to the Supreme Court for further consideration. More information about the committee is available here.
