Indiana Chief Justice Loretta Rush will address the Indiana General Assembly and the governor for her 10th State of the Judiciary address next week.

The formal address will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the House of Representatives chamber. The theme of her 2024 address will be “Indiana Courts’ Return on Investment.”

The chief justice is required to provide lawmakers with an update on the condition of the courts. This year’s address will focus on how the judiciary is strengthening specialized courts, addressing rural needs, leveraging technology through innovation and building public trust through outreach.

The 2023 address highlighted the courts’ role in promoting economic development, fairness and public safety in Indiana.

The 2024 State of the Judiciary will be livestreamed and aired on Indiana Public Broadcasting stations.
