The Indiana Supreme Court is seeking feedback on proposed amendments to the state’s rules for access to court records and appellate procedures.

The Access to Court Records Rule 5 amendment would clarify that reports on a defendant’s treatment to restore competency are excluded from public access. The appellate procedure rule change would add language to Rule 57 on notice regarding transfer.

Public comment will be accepted by the high court until 1 p.m. ET on Nov. 1.

Comments can be submitted online or mailed to Indiana Supreme Court Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure, Indiana Office of Court Services, 251 N. Illinois St., Suite 800, Indianapolis, 46204.
