The Indiana Supreme Court on Monday certified retiring Marion Superior Court Magistrate Judge Deborah Jean Shook as a senior judge for 2021, beginning Jan. 1.

The order signed by Chief Justice Loretta Rush found Shook met the qualifications for appointment.

Shook has served as a judicial officer in Marion Superior Court since 2003 and worked in private practice in Indianapolis for more than 20 years before her appointment to the bench.
