The Indiana State Bar Association is offering a free job-search seminar to help unemployed members find legal jobs.

The seminar will feature author Kimm Walton, who will discuss job strategies. She has written several legal career guides and just released the second edition of "Guerilla Tactics for Getting the Legal Job of Your Dreams." The seminar will begin with a Q-and-A period, followed by Walton's presentation.

The event is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 28 in the fifth floor Conference Center, Regions Bank Building, One Indiana Square, Indianapolis. A social hour will follow.

Registration is required and is free for ISBA members; non-members may attend for $50. There is no deadline for registration.

Susan Jacobs, associate executive director of the ISBA, said it's very important for the organization to try to offer programs about job searches and looks forward to having more programming on the topic. This is the first time the ISBA has offered this particular program, she said.
