Life sciences, IP conference set

Protecting investments in intellectual property created at life sciences companies is the focus of the seminar in the 2008-2009 Indiana Life Sciences Collaboration Conference Series in Bloomington Nov. 14. This is the second seminar in the series.

The conference, "Untangling Global Life Sciences Intellectual Property Issues," will help attendees explore the practical issues related to both U.S. and international intellectual property specific to life sciences.

Faculty from Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington and Kelley School of Business, and intellectual property attorneys will participate in the conference. Rebecca S. Eisenberg, the Robert and Barbara Luciano Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School, will give the keynote address "Protecting Innovation in the Life Sciences: U.S. and International Perspectives."

The conference is from 8:50 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at Cook Medical headquarters, 750 Daniels Way, Bloomington. Registration for the conference is $50; the program has applied for CLE credit.
