Merrillville solo practitioner Gina L. Jones has been chosen to serve on the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program Advisory Committee, the Indiana Supreme Court announced.

The court announced the appointment in an order issued Monday. Jones replaces Kopka Pinkus Dolin P.C. partner Shelice Tolbert, of Crown Point. The order says Jones will serve the remainder of Tolbert’s term that expires at the end of 2015. Tolbert resigned to serve the court in another capacity, according to the order.

JLAP is the arm of the court that assists lawyers, judges and law students whose ability to practice is impaired by disease, substance abuse, mental health or age-related problems.
